I’ve been working on quite a few projects around the house and one that I’m particularly excited about is the wedding wall I’ve put together. For the past year I’ve been thinking about fun ways to showcase the best day of my life in a tasteful, interesting way. And here it is…
So, a few highlights:
- We bought the dresser at Grapevine Antique Mall (60% off!). I like to pretend like it is a relic from the Civil War, but Ryan says it is probably from the early 50′s….oh well. The dresser went through quite a bit of sanding and painting to get it to it’s current state. I still intend to buy some cute knobs such as these.
- The photo that lies horizontal at the top of the arrangement is an antique photo that we found at Grapevine Antique Mall titled “Parisian Maid of Honor”…we framed that sucker up, and look…ART!
- Below the Maid of Honor art is one of my favorite bridal photos we took prior to my wedding. My photog and best friend told me to run out on to Main Street in Grapevine and show off my cowboy boots. One of my favorite things about this photo is the old Grapevine Sun building behind me.
- Next to the boots photo is a great shot of my parents cutting their wedding cake in 1977. We showcased that photo at our own wedding along with some other family wedding photos.
- At the very bottom of the arrangement is yet another gem from the Antique Mall. We found an old Beatles songbook that happened to have “From Me to You” which was one of the songs played at our wedding.
